Lymph Nodes and Vessels
Lymph nodes are round organs that assist in the immune system. They are located throughout the body, mostly in the pelvic area, neck, and armpits. They are very important in the body's ability to fight infections. Lymph nodes are connected to one another through lymphatic vessels. They contain many white blood cells that circulate throughout the body, killing any infections to prevent them from getting into the bloodstream and spreading. They will remove anything that is not right in the body such as bacteria, viruses, and cancer cells.
